LOA works to interweave meditations on race, myth, futurism, and history as a process of decoding their geneses in order call attention to their manifestations in a broken society. At the same time, however, LOA offers more than mere deconstruction of social institutions. Damon Davis does the important work of not only shattering illusions but also of gathering; rearranging the fragments to encode and imbue social structures with new meaning and ultimately the potential to alter the course of their future unfolding.
